May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month
May is historically a month when tick-related ER visits peak and when blacklegged tick nymphs, which transmit Lyme disease, are highly active. Governor Ayotte proclaimed May 2026 as Lyme Disease Awareness Month in the State of New Hampshire.
